A quick update on the dengue situation in Fiji. We’ve contacted the local health authorities to determine any risk to our conference in July. We’ve been told based on current caseloads that it has already peaked in Suva and risk to visitors will be back to normal background levels come July. As always, we recommend the standard precautions that one would take in any tropical location – bug spray and long-sleeved shirts, especially if you go on field trips. But please feel reassured that the risk to our attendees is minimal, given typical weather in July of cooler, windier and drier conditions.
